We stayed at a nearby cottage and drove into park, but there are many great campsites. The park was clean, well appointed trails, restrooms. The park has interesting history. The highlight, of course is the Mazinaw Rock and pictographs.

The canoe rentals are right beside the ferry and the distance to go is not far at all. I'm sure you could call and ask the park staff if it was deal breaker. The staff are very pleasant.
