WebFeb 8, 2024 · The HD58X (sold by Drop) is $100 open box / $150 new. I'd owned the HD650 and heard every other version. The HD58X are the best value, look great and I like their sound best. A bit more high end air and less overly warm mids (still warm, just more neutral) the most sub bass of any in the HD5XX or HD6XX series. The frequency response of the current HD650 (and Massdrop HD6XX) is a bit more ‘linear’ and ‘smoother’ in upper mids and the treble.
